Our Programs Include:

Three afternoon programs in the Spring, Summer, and Fall featuring speakers and a moderated panel on topics selected by the Executive Board that explore new developments in IT leadership, management, and technology.  

The Executive Leadership Award (ELA) Dinner recognizing an outstanding senior executive chosen by a committee of member representatives for his/her leadership in leveraging IT for organizational advantage. View a list of past ELA honorees.

The Early Evening Program at the start of the year that forecasts the economic outlook for IT and general business in California and the nation. This program is presented by a faculty member of the acclaimed UCLA Anderson Business Forecast. 

The IS Associates Member/Student Networking Forum featuring speakers and a moderated panel on topics selected by students and attended by IS Associates member representatives, MBA and FEMBA students, as well as students from various UCLA colleges and professional schools with interests in technology. 

There are also two events for practitioner members of the IS Associates: (1) All practitioner members are invited to the annual one-day Southern California CIO Executive Summit, presented by Evanta, and in collaboration with the IS Associates, and (2) the CIO Exchange Dinner, hosted by the IS Associates, held twice a year, where we invite a UCLA Faculty subject matter expert to discuss a strategic topic chosen by the Executive Board.

In addition, there are a variety of UCLA activities in which the IS Associates encourage member participation. These include an Executive Speaker SeriesExecutive Education Programs, activities of student groups, such as the High Tech Business Association, and academic activities such as the Applied Management Research Program where companies partner with a team of MBA students to address their most strategic issues.
