Trent Johnson

In his current role as Client Service Partner for Slalom Consulting, Mr. Johnson leads and is responsible for setting the practice direction and growth of large scale client accounts within the Financial Services industry vertical for Slalom Consulting.  Within target accounts, he is responsible for relationship and business development; program delivery excellence; oversight of commercial terms and financial objective attainment.  Since his start with Slalom in 2013, his efforts have driven account revenues of better than $13M.

Mr. Johnson has considerable experience in corporate strategy and corporate incubator development, strategic sourcing, globalization advisory for emerging markets; and leading several large system integration assignments throughout his consulting career for Global 1000 companies.  In almost 20 years, Mr. Johnson has been involved in a significant number of corporate innovation, digital transformation, shared services, offshoring, systems integration, and similar enterprise initiatives across the Americas, Europe and Asia.  As an example of magnitude, managed services transactions Mr. Johnson has supported have ranged from US$20 million to US$1.5 billion in total contract value, and have involved major Tier 1 and Tier 2 service providers such as IBM, CSC, Accenture, TCS, Infosys, and Cognizant.

Prior to his role with Slalom, Mr. Johnson was a Partner and Senior Advisor at Avasant and TPI respectively.  Both firms, noted leaders in globalization and strategic sourcing advisory.   Earlier in his career, Mr. Johnson also founded a management consultancy with two former colleagues from KPMG Consulting focused on IT and operational service delivery models, early-stage venture capital due diligence and systems integration expertise for public and private concerns in the US Gulf South region.  During his tenure at KPMG Consulting, Mr. Johnson focused on Internet Business and Corporate Incubation solutions from clients including European banks such as ING and ABN Amro, to Silicon Valley tech firms and financial services concerns such as E*Trade, Invesco and Visa.  Prior to KPMG, Mr. Johnson began his post-graduate career with Citibank and their investment banker, Credit Suisse First Boston (CSFB) in the development of an asset-backed securitization extract system which enabled initial serial asset-backed securitization offerings totaling over $350 million USD.

Mr. Johnson received his MBA from the University of Northern Iowa, where he was on the Dean’s List, and his BS in Business Administration and Economics from Southern University of New Orleans.  He currently lives in Southern California with his wife, Ana Sofia and three children.
