L.A. County Public Defender's Office Appoints Mohammed Al Rawi as First CIO

Mohammed Al Rawi, who led tech initiatives for the Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation, will become the first CIO of the County's Public Defender's Office on March 25. His responsibilities will include strategic planning, development, modernization and ongoing analysis of governance, data management and the Client Case Management System (CCMS).  Mohammed Al Rawi was recently named as one of Government Technology's 2018 Top 25 Doers, Dreamers, & Drivers.  In addition, during his tenure at Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation, IS Associates honored the Parks and Recreation division with the 2018 Executive Leadership Award in Public Sector Category for the implementation of an advanced drowning detection system that has reduced the response to potential drowning from 10 seconds down to 1.5 seconds.
